There are lots of confusing talks about grants. It is not just because grants are available, everyone should apply and get one. Although almost everyone needs money, the real question is to know if grants are needed for your situation. The truth is that there are times when you really do not need money. Instead of money, you might need volunteers or student teachers, student lawyers, student social workers, secondhand books, used computers, or a friend to give you a hand in getting a job done. While you think you need money, there are plenty of great organizations that have legitimate reasons to need money. Due to the existence of thousands of reasons why people and organizations think they need grants; it is essential to define what a grant is prior to entering this basic training about grant seeking.
